Yes, I am one of those people that eats like six times a day! You heard me right six times, granted they are small but doing that keeps your metabolism revved up.
One of my close friends is a dancer sculpt trainer and she regularly asks for recipe ideas to snack healthy and to incorporate into her 21 day fix plan. While not overly obsessive (my husband would probably beg to differ!) I do try to monitor the amounts of protein, fiber and healthy fats I consume each day. So of course I have plenty to recipe ideas to share!
I have my typical go to snacks as we all do, but recently have fallen in love with Wasa crackers. They have several different varieties from Rye to Multigrain to keep your palate excited. Minimal calories per cracker (45 to be exact for Multigrain) and did I mention how big the crackers are! They are super sturdy so they can handle any type of toppings your little heart desires.
I like to top mine with fresh tomato and avocado drizzled with olive oil. Fun fact time! The healthy fats in avocado increases your body’s capability by four times to absorb nutrients such as Lycopene from the tomatoes. Getting more lycopene is important because it has been found to play a big role in the prevention of cancer, inflammatory diseases, and age-related illnesses.
In a nutshell, get creative and add avocado to as many things as you can!
