This simple and elegant Dark Chocolate Ganache Tart is the perfect dessert for Valentine’s Day and can literally be topped with anything! Fresh berries, a sprinkling of sea salt or Dulce de Leche are just a few delicious topping ideas to pair with the decadent chocolate.
This amazing dessert can be prepped in literally 20 min and takes just 2 hours to set in the refrigerator. I love that the crust can be made out of a wide variety of cookies too. Graham crackers, digestive (like Lotus), Oreo, etc. Mix up the cookie crumbs with some melted butter, and a bit of sugar, press it into the tart pan and bake for 8 mins. Talk about EASY!
Now it is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Dark Chocolate. I typically hide a bag of Dark Chocolate Dove squares in my desk to have with my afternoon coffee, it’s my guilty pleasure. (Note to the people in my office reading this, I have changed my chocolate hiding spot!)
The filling for this Dark Chocolate Ganache Tart is so silky and rich it is like butter melting in your mouth. Not only is the crust super easy to make so is the Ganache filling! It’s simply dark chocolate chopped up and melted with some cream and butter. Pour it into the cooled tart crust, let it set in the fridge, and you’re done. Is that an easy dessert or what?
